There has been fifty years since the first modern craniofacial surgery performed by Prof. Tessier. Craniofacial surgery has now become more and more popular and has covered a wide range of different subjects such as plastic surgery, neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatric surgery and so on. And the technique of craniofacial surgery now requires more accuracy, more stable results and minor invasions. In this conference, we will focus on the newly development of craniosynostosis, distraction, computer assistant technique and other hotspots in Asian and Pacific area. We will provide a great scientific program for all of you.
The 9th Biennial Conference of Asian Pacific Craniofacial Association are organized by Asian Pacific Craniofacial Associatio and Chinese Society of Plastic Srugery. And we should give our great thanks to Plastic Surgery Hospital (Institute), CAMS, PUMC, to Huashan Hospital, Fudan University and to Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical School for their supports during the organizing procedure. The conference will be hold from September 15th to 17th, 2012 at Beijing International Convention Center.
Beijing is the capital of China. September is the most beautiful season for this modern and traditional city. You can enjoy all kinds of joys here from the Great Wall to the newly city developments after Olympic 2008. Even you can have a trip through out the ancient country full of funs. Hope you have a memorable stay in Beijing 2012.

Welcome Message from Prof. David David
As the founding president of the Asian Pacific Craniofacial Association (APCA) it is my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to the 9th biennial meeting of this important group. The Asian - Pacific region has emerged as the most rapidly advancing in the world with respect to Craniofacial surgery, with large populations of people and an ever increasing need to address the health care problems of craniofacial deformity. Vibrant national societies have now emerged that are bringing together the multidisciplinary experts necessary to define, organise, and deliver high quality care. Underpinning this enthusiasm is a very real effort to contribute to the basic sciences that support our clinical activities. Already many fine studies and papers have emerged from our region to benefit patients and clinicians world wide.
I encourage all who are interested and involved in this work to gather in Beijing on September 15th to 17th 2012, to contribute, discuss, exchange ideas and advance the cause of delivering high quality health care to the people in their respective countries who have craniofacial deformities.

Beijing International Convention Center locates in Asian Games Village, a flourishing area of Beijing which has a collection of conference center, businesses, shopping centers and entertainment venues.
